Councillor goes into hiding?
One newly elected Lib Dem councillor is already finding the going tough. Already censured by a full council meeting over his behaviour. Now he appears to be hiding from residents. Leaflets fail to give his home address mainly because he lives the wrong side of the river, now even his home phone number has been replaced by a council office number (only available in office hours). Today I received a copy of Hull in Print the council magazine. The magazine is delivered to every home in Hull and lists all the city councillors contact details such as home phone number mobile etc. Only one councillor has failed to supply a home phone number. Perhaps constituent calls are proving too much!

Thats odd Gary. It features prominantly enough on the leaflets that go out from the local Lib Dems - all year round, not just at election time.
This is typical of the local Lib Dems in Hull. Anonymous for one thing and secondly incorrect. In fact deliberately incorrect.
I have been a member of the Labour party since I was 16. I have always worked hard both politically and personally.
Since becoming a candidate in 2002 I have ensured regular leaflets, letters, cards, and flyers have been distributed in the ward. Certainly not just at election time.
Lib Dem campaign material actively advises Lib Dem candidates and councillors to tell lies. “Be wicked and don’t be afraid to exaggerate”, they are told.
No wonder so many of their councillor walk out, sick to death of tight core running the party from North Hull.
If it bothers you so much, put it back in the next issue.
No need to get all angry about it. Merely pointing out what their leaflets say.
Why are you hiding? Come clean Andy.
I expect Andy Sloan has better things to do than post comments on your blog Gary. There is a city to run out there you know.
God help us we're all doomed then.
