Yes to regeneration

It’s all waffle Andy

I would certainly welcome moves to regenerate the Witham area and to help business. Holderness Road is the main entrance to Hull from the East of the city. But there is precious little substance in this article published in the Mail. The Lib Dems as usual are bankrupt of ideas, preferring to seek publicity over action. If this is a genuine attempt to regenerate the area then what funds are being made available? If no funds are being pledged then it is little more than a cheap publicity stunt.

I would welcome the “setting up of a group” but how genuine an offer is it if its recommendations are going to be ignored, it meets in secret and its membership remains hidden.

You seem to be sending mixed messages here. Are you for doing something to revive the area or against it?

Witham has declined dramatically in the past 30 years and it seems to me a good thing that the area's problems are being addressed.

There is no point opposing this, just because Andy Sloan is in a different party than you. Work together, don't be part political.

Robin, I agree there is a need to work together on this. Of course I am for doing something and for getting involved if this is a real attempt to do something. Its just that when i read the article there was little substance. No money, no timescale, no actual ideas. In fact i have walked down Holderness Road and Witham with the Area Director and local residents pointing out things which could be done to improve the area.
You say "its is a good thing that the area's problems are being addresed." How exactly are they being addressed. My point was the quotes given had little substance and was just waffle.
Finally i wasn't opposing, just asking for more detail and substance but i have to say its Sloan who refuses to work with others.

Refering back to your comments on a previous post about who this blog is for, you've clearly found your answer - its for Andy Sloan's benefit.

Seeing as most of the articles seem to be addressed to him, what other conclusion could anyone come up with?

Doreen, which part of Drypool are you in?

Its pretty plain to see, you setup a group to make it look like your doing something when your not. I think the Lib Dems forget that Labour has copies of their textbooks which tell them how pull these tricks.
